Semyon Klimashevsky is a violinist and the winner of numerous international competitions. Semyon Klimashevsky was born in 1990. He began studying violin at Children Musical School No. 11 of the St. Basil Island District of Saint Petersburg (under T.K. Liberova) when he was 6 years old. Starting in 2006, he was a student at the special secondary musical school at the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg Conservatory (under T.K. Liberova). From 2000 - 2008, he held a fellowship of the Philharmonic Society of Saint-Petersburg. He also held a fellowship of the New Names International benevolent program, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Government of Saint Petersburg. Since 2008, he has been a student of the Saint Petersburg Conservatory (under M. H. Gantvarg). As a young musician, Semyon Klimashevsky was often on tour at both Russian cities and abroad. He has performed in Poland, Germany, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic. He performed a solo with the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the D. D. Shostakovich Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra in Saint Petersburg, the Symphonic Orchestra of the Saint Petersburg Academic Capella, and with the Polish orchestra Leopoldium and Finnish Symphonic Orchestra of Lahti (Sinfoni Lahti). He attended master-classes with A. Fisher, Z. Bron, G. Zhislin, P. Vernikov, H. Zeitmeier, and M. Yashvili and took part in numerous international competitions for violinists.
The young musician has won: Semyon Klimashevsky has participated in a number of international festivals, including Kissinger Sommer, Niider-Mooz-Orgelfest (Germany) and the festival the World via Culture (Khanty-Mansiysk). In 2004, he was awarded a Star of Academician D. S. Likhachov. In 2009, he performed in the Nevskaya Klassika Quartet. The quartet took part in the 10th Square of Arts International Festival (Saint Petersburg). |
