THE FIRST CHRISTMAS TREE ON THE EARTH
Yule Concert

The Philharmonic Society of Saint Petersburg has presented the concert
"The First Christmas Tree on the Earth", dedicated to the celebration of Christmas.
In the evening's program:
Suite from the undeservedly forgotten opera by Russian composer Vladimir Rebikov "Christmas Tree";
Concerto for Piano and Orchestra "Christmas Carol" by contemporary Saint Petersburg composer Igor Drukh;
The world premiere of the Christmas mystery "The First Christmas Tree on the Earth" by a contemporary Saint Petersburg composer Alexey Mylnikov, by the story of the hegumeness Taisia Leushinskaya, the poetry by L. Mei, A. Fet, J. Brodsky, H. Heine, H. Longfellow, and selected passages from the Bible.
