All they will be performed by the SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA of the Saint-Petersburg State Philharmonic Hall for children and youth. Aleksey Igudesman will perform as a conductor and soloist (violin).
Aleksey Igudesman is known to Sait-Petersburg public, as an author of a humorous musical-eccentric show A Little Nightmare Music, which together with an outstanding pianist Hyung-ki Joo had a success in November 2010 in a Grand Philharmonic Hall.
A violinist-virtuoso, widely known as a composer too, a comic and a conductor, Aleksey Igudesman was born in Saint-Petersburg and studied in Iegudi Menuhin School in London, and then in Vienna Conservatorium with Boris Kushnir.
He copperated with such «icons» of the musical world as the Academy® Award-winning Hollywood composer, Hans Zimmer, multi Grammy® Award-winning vocalist, Bobby McFerrin, singer and composer Billy Joel, violinists Julian Rachlin and Janine Jansen, and many others. Aleksey Igudesman is one of the founders of the famous “Trilogy” trio, which recorded several CDs for BMG, including the one with the legendary jazz-musician and guitar-player Wolfgang Muthspiel.
Igudesman’s play and orchesrtation can be heard in a soundtrack to the “The Road to the El Dorado”, DreamWorks’s cartoon and to the film “Spanglish” (by the Academy Award-winning director James L. Brooks).
His passion to classical music and comedy led him to the foundation of «Music & Comedy Company». Igudesman’s compositions are included into the repertoire of many symphony orchestras, including Wiener Symphoniker and Sanremo symphony orchestra. He also performs as an invited conductor with these orchestras. His compositions are published by Universal Edition.
