PAVEL RAYKERUS

Pavel Raykerus Pavel Raykerus is a pianist and the winner of a number of international competitions.

Pavel Raykerus has graduated from St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after Rimsky-Korsakov (Class of Professor A. Sandler). In 2000 he won the International competition of young pianists named after S. Prokofiev. In the same year he was awarded by the European Cultural Foundation "Pro Europe" (Denmark), and in 2001 he won the first prize of the International Piano Competition named after Karol Szymanowski (Poland). In 2007, Pavel Raykerus was one of the winners of the International Piano Competition named after I. Paderewski (Poland), trained at the Higher School of Music named after Weber in Dresden (class of Professor A. Tsentsiper), took part in several international master classes.

In 1998, the St. Petersburg television made a TV film about the young musician, "And I'm leaving the space" and in 2003 and 2005 German TV channel Deutsche Welle has released two TV films about the pianist. Concert repertoire of Pavel Raykerus includes works in a great variety of styles, from Bach to composers of our day.

The pianist performs regularly in the best halls of Saint Petersburg and Moscow, tours a lot in the USA and Europe. Pavel Raykerus has collaborated with such conductors as Vladimir Sinaisky, V. Chernushenko, A. Chernushenko, V. Ponkin, A. Sladkovsky, Hobart Earle. He took part in major Russian and international festivals, such as: "Arts Square", " Shostakovich Through the Centuries, "Moscow Autumn", "Youth Academies of Russia", "International Week of Conservatories", "New Silver Age", "Drei Klang", "Les Perelinages - F. Liszt Kunstfest Weimar", "Schubertiaden", "Young Euro Classic " and others.

In June 2006, by special invitation of the Kennedy Center in U.S. Pavel Raykerus was the only representative of the music schools and institutions of Russia on the 45th annual International Summit of achievements in Los Angeles (USA).

Now Pavel Raykerus teaches at the class of special piano in the special music school of Saint Petersburg Conservatory. Some of his students have already received awards and are laureates of international junior competitions.
